About - Howland Home Improvement
Founded in 1946, Howland Home Improvement has been providing quality products and services to its customers in the Lakes Region for over 70 years. And now with the third generation, Craig and Kelly Howland continue to follow the same principles that have made the company so successful for the past seven decades.
Craig’s grandfather, Ed Howland and his wife, Margaret, ran the company together from 1946 and through the 1960s. Then, in 1969, Craig’s parents, David and Gale Howland, took over the family business until Craig and Kelly took over in 2006.
According to Family Business Magazine, of all the family companies out there, barely 10% make it to the third generation. So the Howland’s are very proud of their history and look forward to many more years of servicing the community.
When founded, the company focused primarily on insulation. Today, we’re proud to say that we’ve grown to specialize in many aspects of home improvement. For some, we even provide complete turnkey design/build of custom homes.
